The research progress of Changpu Yujin Decoction in the treatment of nervous system diseases is reviewed. Changpu Yuj
in Decoction originated from the book of
Science of Epidemic Febrile Disease
. It has the functions of clearing the heart, cooling the blood and eliminating phlegm, calming the wind, stopping spasm and calming the nerves. Modern pharmacological experiments have proved that it has the functions of repairing the nervous function, antagonizing the hyperfunction of the dopamine system, regulating the permeability of the blood-brain barrier, and reducing the resistance of cells. In the prevention and treatment of viral encephalitis, multiple tourette's disease, ischemic stroke, brain edema and other neurological diseases, the clinical effect is remarkable.
