Reflections on treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis with traditional Chinese medicine manipulation
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a disease characterized by a three-dimensional curvature and rotation of the spine, whose cause is not yet known. The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) manipulation on AIS is certain, and its specific application should be guided by the concept of syndrome differentiation-based treatment, and follow the rules of holistic treatment, selection of appropriate manipulation according to the disease condition, and manipulation intervention together with Daoyin in the early stage of scoliosis. In addition, the popularization of spinal health knowledge should be boosted to guide adolescents to form good living habits.
