Research progress on effective components of tripterygium wilfordii in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis
The research progress on tripterygium wilfordii and its effective components in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis was reviewed from three aspects: mechanism of action, reducing poisonousness and improving efficiency, and new drug development. Tripterygium wilfordii main effective components triptolide, celastrol, tripterygium glycosides had anti-inflammatory, inhibition of bone destruction, in addition through dosage form changes, compatibility could increase efficiency and reduce toxicity ; (5R) -5-hydroxy triptolide was a new triptolide derivative with better safety.
