It often manifests with different degrees of neuropsychiatric abnormalities, and belongs to the categories of “tympanites”, “abdominal mass”, “jaundice” and “unconsciousness” in traditional Chinese medicine. The main indication of Taohe Chengqi Decoction is abdominal pain with madness. Therefore, it is often used clinically to treat hepatic encephalopathy with good therapeutic results.
