Application of surface electromyography technique in acupuncture research
This paper summarized the application of surface electromyography in acupuncture acupoint selection, acupoint specificity, acupoint deqi, acupuncture manipulation research, and acupuncture efficacy evaluation. Surface electromyography technology could dynamically and quantitatively reflect neuromuscular electromyography signals in real time, and could objectively and accurately evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture from the characteristic parameters of surface electromyography signals. Therefore, this technology was widely used in diagnosis and efficacy evaluation of neuromuscular diseases such as muscle fatigue, neuromuscular dysfunction after stroke, dysphagia, etc.
