Clinical practice and reflection on TCM conservative treatment of prolapsed/sequestrated lumbar disc herniation to promote resorption
Prolapsed/sequestrated lumbar disc herniation has a tendency to resorb, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) conservative treatment can facilitate the process of resorption. The disease can often be relieved or even cured by non-surgical treatment with traditional Chinese medicine. This paper discusses the incidence of disc resorption in these two types of lumbar disc herniation, methods for predicting the occurrence of resorption, selection of non-surgical TCM treatment, and assessment of treatment risks.
