Application of insect drugs in treatment of post⁃infectious cough based on collateral disease theory
The pathogenesis of collateral disease is characterized by stasis and stagnation. Insect drugs are good at dispelling the wind and dredging collaterals, resolving phlegm and removing stasis.Post-infectious cough and collateral disease share the similar pathogenesis. Therefore, in this article, we discussed the application of insect drugs in the clinical treatment of post-infectious cough based on the theory of collateral disease for the purpose of providing new insights for the treatment of post-infectious cough.
