Effect of kidney essence and intestinal flora on brain
The purpose of this paper is to expound the relationship among kidney essence, intestinal flora and brain function from the point of view of source, physiology, pathology and treatment, and it is believed that the relationship between kidney essence and brain function and the relationship between intestinal flora and brain function are highly consistent. Both kidney essence and intestinal flora are formed in the embryonic stage, affected by acquired factors, and both can promote the development of nervous system and maintain the physiological function of brain. Deficiency of kidney essence and imbalance of intestinal flora can cause central nervous system disease, so encephalopathy can be treated by tonifying the kidney and replenishing essence and regulating intestinal flora.
