Experience of Shen Pi’an in treating primary Sjogren’s syndrome
This paper introduced the experience of professor Shen Pi’an in treating primary Sjogren’s syndrome. Professor Shen considered that it was debatable to attribute primary Sjogren’s syndrome to the category of “dryness arthralgia” in traditional Chinese medicine, he considered that the disease was caused by wind, cold, dampness, heat, phlegm, blood stasis, toxin and kidney deficiency, which were “7+1” factors. The main treatment was clearing heat and detoxification, nourishing yin and promoting fluid, and the treatments of syndromes were considered simultaneously. One proved case was presented.
