Study on syndrome differentiation and treatment of type 2 diabetes based on the theory of incubating pathogens in Sanjiao. Because of the evil was hidden in Sanjiao, diabetes was happened and developed by the deficiency of healthy qi, or the six exogenous factors, seven emotions, improper diet, overstrain and other factors, then the associated symptoms were appeared.In the treatment, we should clear heat of Sanjiao, invigorate spleen and supplement qi as the treatment methods. In the early stage, it was mainly excess syndrome, focusing on clearing heat of Sanjiao,resolving turbidity and removing toxicity, with invigorating spleen and replenishing qi. In the middle and late period, it mainly invigorated the spleen and qi, and clearing heat of Sanjiao ran through all the process. In the acute complication period, the methods of clearing heat and producing fluid and directly folding heat were taken, also clearing heat and detoxifying was the most important.
