Cheng Yang’s experience in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease from the perspective of depression
Professor Cheng Yang’s experience in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) from perspective of depression was introduced. Professor Cheng Yang believed that the incidence of NAFLD was closely related to people’s mental pressure, psychological factors and lifestyle, which could lead to increased incidence of depression, while major depression and generalized anxiety disorder were more common in NAFLD patients, which conformed to the characteristics of "depressive disorder caused by illness" and " illness caused by depression" . Therefore, the treatment of NAFLD was mainly to soothe the liver, regulate qi and relieve depression. Meanwhile, it was combined with sports and psychological therapy.
