Effect of Modified Fulingwan Decoction on expression of MMP-3, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 in rabbit knee osteoarthritis model
Objective,2,To observe the effect of Modified Fulingwan Decoction on the expression of MMP-3, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 in rabbit knee osteoarthritis model.,Methods,2,Twenty-four Japan big ear white rabbits were randomly divided into normal group, model group, diclofenac sodium group and Modified Fulingwan Decoction group, 6 rabbits in each group. Except for the normal group, the modified Hulth method was used on the left posterior knee joint in other groups. After successful modeling, each group was intervened for four weeks. After the treatment cycle, and pathological observation was performed after the treatment. At the same time, ELISA was used to detect the levels of MMP-3, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 in the knee joint fluid of each groups’ subjects.,Results,2,The contents of MMP-3, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 in model group were significantly increased than those in the normal group (,P,<,0.01) . The contents in diclofenac sodium group and modified Fulingwan group were significantly decreased than those in model group (,P,<,0.01) .,Conclusions,2,MMP-3, MMP-13 and TIMP-1 are closely related to the pathogenesis of KOA. Modified Fuling Decoction may have a therapeutic effect on the pathogenesis of KOA by inhibiting their pathological increase.
