Effect of Danggui Shaoyao Powder on mice model with non-alcoholic fatty liver induced by high-fat diet
Objective,2,To observe the effect of Danggui Shaoyao Powder on liver function, liver and serum triglyceride (TG) and liver histomorphology of non-alcoholic fatty liver mice.,Methods,2,Forty male mice were randomly divided into normal diet group (,n,=10) and hyperlipidemia-hyperglycemia group (,n,=30). After the successful establishment of the model, the mice in the hyperlipidemia-hyperglycemia group were randomly divided into model group, Danggui Shaoyao Powder group and obeticholic acid group. The mice in the Danggui Shaoyao Powder group (25.8 g/kg) and the obeticholic acid group (0.6 mg/kg) were given the corresponding drugs by intragastric administration. The mice in the normal group and the model group were fed with the same amount of drinking water. The samples were taken after 6 weeks. The body weight, liver wet weight, liver and serum triacylglycerol levels, fasting insulin (FINS) content, fasting blood glucose (FBG) content, insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), serum ALT and AST levels, liver histopathology and liver tissue NAS score were measured.,Results,2,Compared with the model group, the body weight and wet weight of the liver, the levels of TG in the liver and serum, the activities of ALT and AST in serum, FBG, FINS and HOMA-IR in serum, and the total score of NAS in the liver tissue in Danggui Shaoyao Powder group were significantly lower than those in model group (,P,<,0.01).,Conclusion,2,Danggui Shaoyao Powder can effectively inhibit liver fat deposition and reduce liver inflammatory injury in mice.
