Advances in mathematical model⁃based research on the composition, compatibility law and efficacy evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine compounds
The application of mathematical models in the study of traditional Chinese medicine compounds has been illustrated from three aspects: the composition, the compatibility law and the efficacy evaluation. Meanwhile, an academic hypothesis has been put forward, introducing the mathematical model of tumor growth kinetics (TGK) to explain the therapeutic efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine compound intervention on malignant tumor, which may be more in line with the clinical practice of “syndrome differentiation-based treatment” of traditional Chinese medicine. Our hypothesis is a breakthrough from the traditional thinking of traditional Chinese medicine compound mechanism research and can comprehensively explain the immutable nature of “disease-efficacy” of traditional Chinese medicine intervention on malignant tumor.
