Zhu Lingyun’s experience in treating damp constipation
Professor Zhu Lingyun’s clinical experience in treating "damp constipation" was introduced, which highlighted that the main pathogenesis of dampness is deficiency of spleen and stomach resulting in retention of damp turbidity and stagnation of qi. Corresponding treatment methods of fortifying the spleen and replenishing qi, dispelling dampness and resolving turbidity, moving qi and removing stagnation were proposed, and a specialized prescription—Hezhong Huazhuo Daozhi Decoction for the treatment of damp constipation was designed, which showed satisfactory clinical effects. One proven case was exemplified.
