Advance on clinical and fundamental research of classic prescription Yiguanjian Decoction in treating chronic liver diseases
This paper reviewed the clinical and fundamental research progress of Yiguanjian Decoction in treating chronic liver diseases. Yiguanjian Decoction shows curative effects on chronic liver diseases such as liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, primary liver cancer, viral hepatitis, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, etc. as it can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve liver-related biomedical indexes and complications. In terms of mechanism of action, Yiguanjian Decoction can have multi-link and multi-target effects by regulating and controlling various signaling pathways inside the body, such as NF-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway, Notch signaling pathway, Wnt signaling pathway, tyrosine kinase 1/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK1/STAT1) signaling pathway, extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway, phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K-Akt)signaling pathway, and the expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) related proteins.
