Meta analysis of therapeutic efficacy and safety of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in prevention and treatment of deep venous thrombosis after orthopaedic surgery
Objective,2,To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in the prevention and treatment of deep veinous thrombosis after major orthopedic surgery by Meta-analysis.,Methods,2,Databases including CNKI, WANFANG DATA, VIP, SinoMed, EMbase, PubMed and The Cochrane Library and other databases were systematically retrieved. Randomized controlled clinical trials were screened according to pre-set inclusion and exclusion criteria. Risk assessment tools were used to evaluate the quality of the study. Data were extracted and Meta analysis was carried out with Revman 5.3 software.,Results,2,A total of 102 articles were retrieved and 13 studies were included, with a total sample of 1 280 cases, including 640 cases in the experimental group and 640 cases in the control group. Buyang Huanwu Decoction could prevent and treat deep venous thrombosis after major orthopedic surgery. Compared with the control group treated with Western medicine alone, Buyang Huanwu Decoction could increase the overall efficiency [OR=4.25, 95% ,CI,(2.86, 6.30),P,<,0.000 01], reduce D-dimer [SMD=-2.95, 95% ,CI,(-4.66, -1.23),P,<,0.000 01], PT[MD= -1.71, 95% ,CI,(-3.24, -0.17),P,=0.03] and fibrinogen [MD=-0.42, 95% ,CI,(-0.72, -0.12),P,=0.006]. It could also decrease drainage volume[MD=-96.84, 95% ,CI,(-123.09, -70.59),P,<,0.000 01]. However, there was no statistically significant difference in activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) and blood viscosity(PV)(,P,>,0.05). Adverse reactions were mild.,Conclusion,2,Buyang Huanwu Decoction is more effective than Western medicine in preventing and treating deep venous thrombosis after major orthopedic surgery. However, the conclusion of the study still needs to be verified by more high-quality randomized controlled trials.
