Su Xiao’s experience in treating Sjogren’s syndrome from Sanjiao
Professor Su Xiao’s experience in treating Sjogren’s syndrome from Sanjiao was summarized. Professor Su believed that the main pathogenesis of Sjogren’s syndrome was the external or internal injury, which led to yin deficiency in the viscera, injury fluid by heat, qi depression in Sanjiao and blood stasis. All those pathogenic factors resulted in the loss of viscera in nourishing. The treatment was based on self-made Yangyin Huoxue Shengjin Prescription, which was modified by syndromes combined with the physiological characteristics of Sanjiao and different disease positions.
