Clinical observation on effect of Tongdu Tiaoshen massage on pediatric tic disorders
Objective,2,To observe the effect of Tongdu Tiaoshen massage (massage for promoting the circulation of the governor vessel and regulating the spirit) on pediatric tic disorders (TD).,Methods,2,A total of 124 children with TD were randomly divided into control group (,n,=62) and treatment group (,n,=62). The control group was administered with comprehensive behavioral interventions combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), while the treatment group was additionally administered with Tongdu Tiaoshen massage besides the treatment measures of the control group. The course of treatment in both groups lasted 12 weeks. The clinical effect was observed and the changes in the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) scores were compared.,Results,2,①Finally 121 cases completed the trail, including 61 cases in the treatment group and 60 cases in the control group. ②The total effective rate was 96.7% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group; The clinical effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group (,P,<,0.05). ③The intra-group comparison before and after treatment showed that there were significant differences in YGTSS scores in both groups (,P,<,0.05); After treatment, the YGTSS score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (,P,<,0.05).,Conclusion,2,Tongdu Tiaoshen massage has a good clinical effect on pediatric tic disorders, and patients have high compliance with the treatment as Tongdu Tiaoshen massage meets the needs of parent-child interaction.
