Pulmonary function rehabilitation strategy for mechanically ventilated patients with severe/critical COVID-19
Based on the research results of lung function rehabilitation with traditional Chinese and modern medicine at home and abroad, the pulmonary function rehabilitation strategy for mechanically ventilated patients with severe/critical coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was discussed. Mechanical ventilation is an essential supporting method for the treatment of COVID-19, but it may cause respiratory myasthenia, lead to sputum excretion disorder, and further affect the prognosis. For mechanically ventilated patients with severe/critical COVID-19, it is of great significance to take necessary pulmonary function rehabilitation intervention measures with traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine as early as possible, which not only help to relieve the dyspnea symptom of patients, but also shorten the hospitalization duration and improve the prognosis.
