To summarize Professor Yang Wei’s clinical experience in treating high complex anal fistula. Professor Yang attaches great importance to syndrome differentiation, emphasizing the differentiation of degree of urgency and excess-deficiency pattern before the surgery. He proposes the loosing or cutting seton therapy in the surgery and the post-operative wound treatment and line-tightening timing are also valued. Professor Yang advocates the “sixteen character policy” as the diagnosis and treatment principle and outlines the unique pre-operative education concept as “three disadvantages, one risk and easy to recur”.
