Gao Yueqiu’s experience in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease from spleen aspect
This paper introduces Professor Gao Yueqiu’s clinical experience in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. It is believed that the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease lies in the liver. The key to the pathogenesis is the spleen failure in transportation, turbid phlegm deposition, chronic disease involving the kidney, finally resulting in the spleen and kidney deficiency, phlegm accumulation and blood stasis syndrome. It is suggested that the treatment should be based on the spleen. The clinical symptoms were treated with self-made Shenge formula, combined with diet adjustment and exercise guidance, and the curative effect was satisfactory. One proven case is presented.
