Clinical study on TCM three-dimensional traction in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR)
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of TCM three-dimensional traction in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR). MethodsEighty cases of CSR were randomized into the treatment group and the control group with 40 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with TCM three-dimensional traction device (three-dimensional intermittent traction), while the control group was treated with traditional cervical traction chair (traditional continuous traction). The course of treatment in both groups was 2 weeks. The safety of treatment was observed and the changes of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Neck Disability Index (NDI) were compared. Results:①There was no drop-out case during the trial. ②The scores of VAS and NDI of the two groups before and after treatment respectively were significantly reduced (P<0.05); After treatment, the VAS score and NDI score of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). ③The incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with the traditional cervical traction, TCM three-dimensional traction can better relieve the pain and dysfunction with fewer adverse reactions in the treatment of CSR.
