Clinical observation on Xiadan ointment moving cupping therapy in treatment of plaque psoriasis
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Xiadan ointment moving cupping therapy in the treatment of stable plaque psoriasis. MethodsSeventy-two patients with stable plaque psoriasis were randomly assigned into treatment group (37 patients) and control group (35 patients). The treatment group was treated with Xiadan ointment moving cupping therapy, and the control group with paraffin oil moving cupping therapy. The treatment course was 1 month in both groups. The clinical efficacy was observed, the changes in psoriasis area severity index (PASI) score were compared and safety was evaluated in the groups. Results:①The total effective rate was 71.6% and 52.8% in the treatment group and the control group, respectively; the clinical efficacy was superior in the treatment group to that in the control group (P<0.05). ②The PASI score decreased significantly in the groups after treatment (P<0.05); there were greater differences before and after treatment in the treatment group than in the control group, with significant differences (P<0.05). ③There were no severe adverse reactions in the groups. Conclusion:The Xiadan ointment moving cupping therapy is effective in the treatment of stable plaque psoriasis and leads to no remarkable adverse reactions, worthy of further extension and application in clinical practice.
