Application of rehabilitation pedal in prevention of lower extremity venous thrombosis after laparoscopic-assisted transabdominal perineal radical resection for rectal cancer
Objective:To observe the role of fast-rehabilitation pedal in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy in preventing postoperative venous thrombosis of the lower extremities in patients with laparoscopic-assisted transabdominal perineal radical resection for rectal cancer. Methods160 patients after laparoscopic-assisted transabdominal perineal radical resection for rectal cancer were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group, 80 patients in each group. To prevent venous thrombosis of the lower extremities, patients in the control group were treated with intermittent pneumatic pressure pump and those in the treatment group were treated with fast-rehabilitation pedal. Both groups were treated for 7 days. The incidence of venous thrombosis and adverse reactions in the lower extremities was observed. The internal diameter of the common femoral vein (DV), maximum flow rate of the common femoral vein at the end of expiration (Vmax), internal diameter of the common femoral vein/internal diameter of the common femoral artery (DV/DA), D-dimer (D-D) and prothrombin time (PT) were compared. Results:①The incidence of venous thrombosis in the lower extremities was significantly lower in the treatment group (15.00%) than in the control group (32.50%), with statistically significant difference (P=0.009<0.05). ②After treatment, the levels of DV and DV/DA were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P=0.027,0.000<0.05). The Vmax level was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P=0.014<0.05).③After treatment, the levels of D-D and PT were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P=0.000<0.05). ④There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the groups (P=0.311>0.05). Conclusion:Fast-rehabilitation pedal can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative lower extremity venous thrombosis in patients with laparoscopic-assisted transabdominal perineal radical resection for rectal cancer, improve coagulation function and physiological index of the common femoral vein, and has good safety.
