Clinical experience of Liu Xinquan in treating wet age-related macular degeneration with Xiong Qin Decoction
This paper introduces Professor Liu Xinquan’s clinical experience in treating wet age-related macular degeneration(wAMD) with Xiong Qin Decoction. He thinks that the etiology of wAMD is due to stagnation of qi and blood stasis, mixture of phlegm retention and blood stasis; the therapeutic methods are clearing away heat and activating blood circulation, invigorating the spleen and promoting urination to eliminate dampness; the prescription is modified Xiong Qin Decoction. Three proven cases in the early, middle and late period are presented.
