Clinical observation of four acupoints with eight needles for hysteromyoma
Objective:To observe the clinical effects of four acupoints with eight needles on treating hysteromyoma. MethodsAmong 98 patients with hysteromyoma,50 were divided into the treatment group and 48 were divide into the control group. Among the treatment group, the four acupoints, including Zusanli (ST 36),Yinlingquan (SP 9),Diji (SP 8) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6),with eight needles were used to treat the patients; among the control group,no acupoints and needles were used, just for comparison. After three months of treatment, measures were taken to observe clinical effects, symptom and sign scores as well as the tumor volume in the two groups. Results:①The total effective rate of the treatment group was 76.00%,and the control group 4.17%. The clinical efficacy between the groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). ②After treatment, hysteromyoma size was reduced in the treatment group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group (P>0.05). The difference of reduced hysteromyoma size between the two groups had statistical significance (P<0.05). ③After treatment, there were significant differences in the total scores and sub-scores of symptoms and signs in the treatment group (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group (P>0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in the total scores and the sub-scores of symptoms and signs between the two groups, which were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:The clinical effect on hysteromyoma treated by the four acupoints with eight needles is satisfactory and it can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of the patients and reduce the volume of the tumor.
