Experience of treating nephropathy based on Zhang Zhongjing’s theory of ‘fluid-retention syndrome’
This paper discusses the experience of treating nephropathy based on Zhang Zhongjing’s theory of ‘fluid-retention syndrome’. According to the characteristics of his prescriptions,the prescriptions for fluid-retention syndrome are reclassified,mainly including Herba ephedrae prescriptions for treating wind edema,Radix Stephaniae and Radix Astragali prescriptions for skin edema,Ramulus Cinnamomi and Poria prescriptions for general edema,and Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata prescriptions for general edema and stony edema. At the same time,six corresponding proved cases are reviewed.
