Bian Songjing’s experience in treating ulcerative colitis
This paper summarizes Professor Bian Songjing’s experience in treating ulcerative colitis. It is considered that the pathogenesis is dampness-heat stagnating in intestine,qi stagnation and stasis of collaterals and dysfunction of spleen in transportation due to spleen deficiency. The treatment should be taking Fuzi and Baizhu in combination to warm kidney and invigorate spleen,flexibly applying Shaoyao to remove food stagnation and dissolve blood stasis. One proven case is presented.
