Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Jianpi Huashi Jiedu Decoction combined with recombinant human interferon α-2b gel in the treatment of chronic cervicitis complicated with high risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Methods188 patients of chronic cervicitis with high risk HPV infection were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group, 94 cases in each group. The control group was treated with recombinant human interferon α-2b gel, and the treatment group was additionally treated with Jianpi Huashi Jiedu Decoction based on the treatment for the control group, with a treatment course of 2 months and follow-up of 6 months. The negative conversion rate and recurrence rate of HPV and adverse reactions were observed. The changes on HPV viral load, clinical symptoms and signs of patients were compared.  Results:①In both groups, there was statistically significant difference on the HPV viral load between treatment before and after, and the HPV viral load was obviously decreased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the HPV viral load in the treatment group was obviously lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). There was statistically significant difference on the HPV negative conversion rate between the two groups, and the HPV negative conversion rate in the treatment group was obviously higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). ②In both groups, there were statistically significant differences on the occurrence rates of lumbosacral pain, leucorrhea with large amount, contact bleeding and purulent secretion between treatment before and after, and the occurrence rates were decreased in both groups after treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the occurrence rates of lumbosacral pain, leucorrhea with large amount, contact bleeding and purulent secretion in the treatment group were obviously lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). ③There was statistically significant difference on the recurrence rate between the two groups, and the recurrence rate in the treatment group was obviously lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). ④There was no statistically significant difference on the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).  Conclusion:Jianpi Huashi Jiedu Decoction combined with recombinant human interferon α-2b gel in the treatment of chronic cervicitis with high risk HPV infection can obviously increase the HPV negative conversion rate, reduce the recurrence rate and improve the clinical symptoms and signs, with fewer adverse reactions.
