This paper introduces Professor Xia Xiang’s experience in treating miscellaneous diseases of internal and surgical medicine with Centella asiatica. It shows the efficacy of clearing heat and promoting diuresis and removing toxicity for detumescence. External application can be used to repair skin scars,and oral administration can be used for acne,urticaria,erysipelas and other skin diseases,oral ulcers,chronic nephritis and other autoimmune diseases,joint swelling and pain,degeneration and other bone and joint diseases. The application characteristics of the commonly used couplet medicines are also analyzed. Two proven cases are presented.
