Xie Jingri’s experience in treating ascites due to cirrhosis based on classical prescriptions
This paper discusses Xie Jingri’s experience in the treatment of ascites due to cirrhosis based on classical prescriptions. It is believed that the characteristics of this disease are deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality,struggle between vital qi and pathogenic factors. The deficiency in origin includes deficiency of yin,yang,qi and blood in liver,spleen and kidney,and the excess in superficiality includes intermingled struggle among qi,blood,water and toxin. In the clinical diagnosis and treatment,the classic prescriptions are made good use,such as Wuling Powder,Wupi Decoction,Bazheng Powder,Gexia Zhuyu Decoction,Sini Powder,Gancao Xiexin Decoction,Liuwei Dihuang Pill,Sijunzi Decoction,with modified Sanhuang Decoction retention enema.
