Clinical observation of effects of Baogui Capsules combined western medicine on anti-mullerian hormone level in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Baogui Capsules combined with western medicine in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome and its effects on anti-mullerian hormone(AMH). Methods68 patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome were randomly divided into the control group and treatment group,34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets, and the treatment group was treated with Baogui Capsules based on the treatment for the control group, with a course of 3 menstrual cycles. The patients were followed-up for 3 months. The efficacy on menstrual disorder was observed. The changes on AMH level and serum levels of estradiol(E,2,),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)and total testosterone(T)were compared. Results:①The clinical total effective rates were 85.3% in the treatment group and 58.8% in the control group. The efficacy on menstrual disorder in the treatment group was obviously better than that in the control group (P,<,0.05). ②In both groups, there was statistically significant difference on the AMH level between treatment before and 3 months after drug withdrawal (P,<,0.05). 3 months after drug withdrawal, there was statistically significant difference on the AMH level between the two groups, and the AMH level in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P,<,0.05). ③In both groups, there were statistically significant differences on the levels of LH,LH/FSH and T between treatment before and 3 months after drug withdrawal (P,<,0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences on the levels of E,2, and FSH(P,>,0.05). 3 months after drug withdrawal, there was statistically significant difference on the T level between the two groups (P,<,0.05). Conclusion:Compared with western medicine alone,Baogui Capsules combined with western medicine can more effectively improve the menstrual disorder in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome, and reduce the serum T and AMH levels.
