This paper introduces the experience in the clinical differentiation and treatment of hypertension with traditional Chinese medicine. It is considered that,the antihypertensive therapy needs warming and nourishing,therapy of removing dampness and dissolving turbidity can be used for youth with hypertension,therapy of regulating and harmonizing yin and yang can be used for aged hypertensive patients,therapy of activating the blood circulation should not be ignored in the chronic hypertension. Based on the treatment according to syndrome differentiation,it also should pay attention to individualized treatment and comprehensive adjustment of physical condition.
