This paper analyzes the misunderstandings,etiology and strategy of drug treatments on gastroesophageal reflux disease at present. It is considered that the main problem of gastroesophageal reflux disease is not excessive secretion of gastric acid,but digestive tract dyskinesis induced acid dislocation,which caused by dysfunction of lower esophageal sphincter,disorder of esophageal acid clearance and gastrointestinal emptying delay. The ultimate goal of treatment should be to adjust the gastrointestinal motility to promote downward. The therapy of acupuncture and moxibustion shows good regulation on the gastrointestinal motility and lower esophageal sphincter,and presents the significant advantages in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
