This paper summarizes Professor Shen Pi’an’s clinical experience in treating systemic lupus erythematosus. It is considered that the pathogenesis of this disease is invasion of heat,blood stasis,phlegm and toxin combined with deficiency of kidney yin. In the treatment,disease differentiation and symptomatic therapy combined with laboratory indexes and pharmacological studies are emphasized,and the characteristic prescription Hongban Decoction is created. And one proven case is presented.
