This paper discusses Wang Xiafang’s experience in the differentiation and treatment of respiratory diseases in children. It is considered that the spleen and lung diseases are common in clinical pediatric diseases. It advocates the theory that stomach qi as root of all diseases,and the therapy of reinforcing earth for generating metal is widely applied in clinic,which form the academic thoughts for the treatment of respiratory diseases according to different periods and syndromes. It refers to treating lung in acute attack period and co-regulating spleen and lung in remission period and invigorating spleen in recovery period,which especially emphasizes the importance of invigorating spleen in recovery period.
