Origin and clinical application of phlegm and fluid retention
By reviewing the classical documents of Chinese medicine and searching the modern literatures,this paper makes an overview of development of phlegm and fluid retentions in various historical stages,reveals the gradual enrichment trend of doctrine of phlegm and fluid retention,and summarizes the characteristic clinical manifestations in diseases due to phlegm and fluid retention and the representative treatment methods of Chinese medicine.
