Study on Chinese medical syndrome rules of first-episode schizophrenia:A report of 140 cases based on factor analysis and cluster analysis
Objective:To discuss the Chinese medical syndrome characteristics of first-episode schizophrenia and rules of patterns classification, and provide reference for the objectification of Chinese medical syndrome and differentiation and treatment of this disease. MethodsThe observation table of Chinese medical syndrome on first-episode schizophrenia was formulated. By the standardized collection of four diagnostic information,a total of 140 patients with first-episode schizophrenia were included. The database was established, and the study of Chinese medical syndrome was performed by multivariate mathematical statistics such as factor analysis and cluster analysis. Results:Totally 22 common factors were obtained in the study of Chinese medical syndrome, which merged into 5 combinations of syndrome factors that most consistent with the clinic. According to the descending order, the syndrome of stagnation of qi and blood could account for 47.86% of the total variation, followed by the syndrome of qi deficiency and phlegm accumulation(account for 20.00%),the syndrome of liver-qi stagnation and spleen deficiency(account for 18.57%),the syndrome of phlegm-fire disturbing heart(account for 5.71%)and the syndrome of intense heat of Yang Ming(account for 5.71%)in turn. Conclusion:Qi stagnation, blood stasis and phlegm accumulation are the major syndrome elements of first-episode schizophrenia in clinic.
