Clinical observation of Pingle therapeutic manipulation for injured soft tissue combined with fumigation and steaming therapy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Pingle therapeutic manipulation for injured soft tissue combined with fumigation and steaming therapy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods120 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,60 cases in each group. Both groups performed the autonomic function exercise of knee joint. The treatment group was treated with Pingle therapeutic manipulation for injured soft tissue combined with fumigation and steaming therapy of Chinese medicine, and the control group was treated with acupoint pressure on knee joint combined with dog skin plaster, with a course of one month. The clinical efficacy was observed, and the changes on the Lequesne indexes and visual analogue scale(VAS)score were compared. Results:①During the trial,2 cases in the treatment group and 3 cases in the control group fell off,and finally 115 cases completed the trial. ②The total clinical effective rates were 96.55% in the treatment group and 84.21% in the control group. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group(P<0.05). ③After treatment, there were statistically significant differences on the joint pain, maximum walking distance, daily living ability index and comprehensive index and VAS score between the two groups, and the levels in the treatment group were obviously lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Pingle therapeutic manipulation for injured soft tissue combined with fumigation and steaming therapy of Chinese medicine can be used in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which can obviously improve the function of knee joint, relieve the pain and enhance the life quality of patients.
