Review on bear bile and its potential alternative resources
This article analyzed and compared the similarities and differences on chemical components, pharmacological effects and clinical application between natural bear bile and its artificial products or other animal bile. Research found that the contents of conjugated bile acids including tauroursodesoxycholic acid(TUDCA)and taurochenodeoxycholic acid(TCDCA)in artificially synthesized bear bile and its cholagogic, sedative and antibacterial effects were approximate to those of natural bear bile to some extent, which provided reference for searching alternative resources of natural bear bile.
