This paper introduced Professor Zheng Xiaowei’s experience in treating coughing variant asthma. He considers the wind pathogen as major pathogenic factors,and puts forward that invasion of wind pathogen and lung impairment of dispersing and descending are the key to this disease and deficiency of vital qi and stagnation of toxic pathogen are the nature of this disease. In the treatment,it should pay attention to the differentiation of root,manifestation,deficiency and excess and emphasize the treatment by stages. The comprehensive therapy of oral administration of Chinese medicine combined with acupoint application is used for syndrome differentiation and treatment.
