This paper introduced Professor Liu Jianqiu’s experience in treating asthma. He considers that it should eliminate the pathogenic factors when asthma attacks. Based on six main pathogenic factors such as wind,heat,phlegm,qi,cold and blood stasis,he puts forwards six methods including therapy of dispelling pathogenic wind for clearing phlegm,therapy of clearing heat and dispersing lung qi,therapy of warming lung for resolving fluid retention,therapy of promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis,therapy of warming yang for regulating qi-flowing,therapy of strengthening vital qi for relieving desertion. When asthma dose not attack,it should strengthen vital qi. Based on the pathogenic basis as deficiency of lung,spleen and kidney,he puts forwards two methods including therapy of strengthening spleen and benefiting qi,therapy of regulating and supplementing lung and kidney.
