Lu Zhizheng’s experience in treating chronic gout by regulating spleen and stomach
This paper introduced professor Lu Zhizheng’s clinical experience in treating chronic gout by regulating spleen and stomach. He considers that the disorder of spleen and stomach is the key factor of onset and repeated attack in chronic gout. He emphasizes the regulation of spleen and stomach as the method for treating root causes,and proposes the regulation of spleen and stomach and comprehensive therapy as the fundamental treatment of chronic gout. Meanwhile,invigorating the kidney should not be neglected,and the treatment should pay attention to promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis and dissipating phlegm and resolving masses to eliminate pathogen and strengthen vital qi. The treatment can be applied combined with external therapy of Chinese materia medica.
