Clinical observation of acupoint application of Qin’s Daijiu Ointment in treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with syndrome of kidney deficiency and governor vessel cold
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint application of Qin’s Daijiu Ointment in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis(AS)with syndrome of kidney deficiency and governor vessel cold. Methods120 cases of AS with syndrome of kidney deficiency and governor vessel cold were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the treatment group was treated with acupoint application of Qin’s Daijiu Ointment, with a course of 3 months. The clinical efficacy and medication safety were observed, and the TCM syndrome score, related signs scores and biochemical indexes were compared. Results:①The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 89.83% and 65.00%,respectively. The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05). ②The improvement on TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05). ③There were statistically significant differences on the scores of Bath AS functional index(BASFI)and Bath AS disease activity index(BASDAI),erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP),spine curvature and Schober distance between the two groups after treatment, the improvement in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). ④There was no statistically significant differences on the incidence rate of adverse events between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion:Acupoint application of Qin’s Daijiu Ointment shows good efficacy in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with syndrome of kidney deficiency and governor vessel cold, which is simple, convenient and safe.
