This article introduced Professor Sun Shidao’s clinical experience in the treatment of chronic urticaria. He considers that the syndrome differentiation of chronic urticaria belongs to“asthenia in origin and pathogenic factors in superficiality”,“interaction between wind and dampness-heat”,“evil in Shaoyang”and “errhysis outside the vessels”. The therapy emphasize treating both manifestation and root cause of disease,reconciling Shaoyang,hemostasis with astringents and medication combined with modern pharmacological research. One proven case was presented.
