This paper introduced Professor Zhu Bangxian’s clinical experience in treating IgA nephropathy with methods of ascending the clear and descending the turbid, removing poison and reinforcing the kidney. He considers that the pathogenesis of this disease is disturbance of ascending and descending and disorder of clear and turbid. Organs damage and toxin obstruction is mutual manifestation and root for each other. Based on the corresponding of prescription and syndrome and combination formula and complex therapy,the treatments make good use of methods of ascending the clear and descending the turbid,removing poison and dispelling evil combined with drugs pungent in flavor and warm in property to rise and support qi movement,and tonifying the kidney and nourishing the essence to restore the organs. One proven case was recorded.
