Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture therapy with finger in the treatment of acute lumbar sprain. MethodsTotally 60 patients of acute lumbar sprain were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group according to the random number table,30 cases in each group. Patients in the treatment group were treated with acupuncture therapy with finger,and patients in the control group were treated with the conventional acupuncture therapy,the points include Weizhong(BL40),Jinmen(B63),Shenshu(BL23) and Daimai(GB26). Both groups were treated one time every other day and a total of six times. The clinical efficacy and the score change of brief pain inventory (BPI) were observed.  Results:The total effective rate of treatment group and control group were 96.7% and 93.3% respectively. There was statistically significant difference on the clinical efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05). After treatment,the integral of pain degree and interference level were significantly decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the integral of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).  Conclusion:The acupuncture therapy with finger can improve the symptoms of patients with acute lumbar strain,reduce the interference of pain on daily life,work and other matters.
