Clinical observation of Xiao Cheng-Qi Decoction on the effect of pulmonary infections in patients with postoperative severe craniocerebral injury
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Xiao Cheng-Qi decoction combined conventional western medecine in the treatment of pulmonary infections on patients with postoperative severe craniocerebral injury. Methods 67 cases of pulmonary infections on patients with postoperative severe craniocerebral injury were randomly divided into treatment group(34 cases) and control group(33 cases). Conventional western medecine treatment was given to both groups, and additionally,Xiao Cheng-Qi decoction was applied to treatment group, with a course of one week. The clinical efficacy was observed and changes of the levels of correlated biochemical indexes including WBC、CRP、PCT and clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS)between two groups were compared. Results: ①The effective rate of the treatment group is 93.3%,and the control group is 70.0%,the difference between two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). ②After three-day treatment, the levels of PCT obviously decreased in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05). After seven-day treatment, the levels of WBC、CRP、PCT and CPIS significantly decreased in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Xiao Cheng-Qi decoction combined conventional western medecine could be used to treat pulmonary infections on patients with postoperative severe craniocerebral injury, which significantly relieve pulmonary infections and inflammatory response in patients.
