Influence of Safflower Injection on pulse wave velocity and RAAS in patients with hypertension
Objective:To observe the influence of Safflower Injection on pulse wave velocity(PWV) and RAAS in patients with hypertension. MethodsOne hundred and twenty-eight subjects were randomized into control group and treatment group, 64 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional antihypertensive treatment, and the treatment group was given intravenous injection of Safflower Injection besides the antihypertensive treatment, with the course of 28 days. The clinical efficacy and the indicators related to pulse wave velocity(baPWV, cfPWV, faPWV) and RAAS (ALD, Ang-I, Ang-II, PRA) before and after treatment were observed in both groups. Results:①The total effective rate was 70.31% in the control group and 89.06% in the treatment group, with better efficacy in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05). ②After treatment, the baPWV, cfPWV and faPWV were reduced in both groups(P<0.05, P<0.01), with more significant reduction in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05). ③After treatment, the levels of ALD, Ang-Ⅰ, Ang-Ⅱand PRA were decreased in both groups(P<0.05, P<0.01), with more significant decrease in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Safflower Injection helps fighting hypertension by reducing the indicators related to PWV and RAAS in patients with hypertension.
